"User", "you", "your" — refers to any person who visits the Kinfold website or engages a Kinfold service.

"Agreement" — refers to these Terms & Conditions together with any service-specific scope statement provided before an engagement begins.

"Session" — a scheduled period of work between a Kinfold coordinator and the client household.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using the Kinfold website or engaging a Kinfold service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or proceed with a service booking.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are arranging a service on behalf of a household or organisation, you represent that you have authority to do so.

3. Service description and scope

Kinfold provides administrative coordination for household documents. This includes sorting, labelling, inventorying, scanning, indexing, and producing written orientation materials. All services are described in detail on the Solutions page of the Kinfold website.

What Kinfold does not provide: Kinfold does not provide legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, immigration assistance or any other regulated professional service. Where a question of that nature arises during an engagement, it is noted and the client is invited to consult a suitably qualified professional. No such question will be answered speculatively within a Kinfold session.

Services are available to households in Malaysia. In-person sessions are available in the Klang Valley. Video call sessions are available across Malaysia. Kinfold does not operate outside Malaysia.

4. User responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when submitting an enquiry or booking a session
  • Ensure that a responsible adult is present for any in-person session
  • Not use Kinfold's website or services for any unlawful purpose
  • Not submit documents belonging to a third party without that person's knowledge
  • Notify us promptly if contact details or session arrangements change

5. Payment terms

Prices for each service are listed on the Kinfold website in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payment terms and accepted methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. Payment is required before sessions commence unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Rescheduling: Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice at no charge. Rescheduling requests with less than 48 hours' notice may incur an administrative fee, which will be communicated at the time.

Refunds: Where a session is cancelled by Kinfold, a full refund will be issued. Where a session is cancelled by the client with at least 48 hours' notice and no session has commenced, a refund less any reasonable administrative costs will be considered. No refund is available for sessions already delivered.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Kinfold website — including text, design and templates — is the property of Kinfold and may not be copied or used without written permission.

Written deliverables produced during a Kinfold engagement (inventories, folder plans, orientation notes) are produced for the client household and belong to that household. Kinfold retains no rights over them after delivery.

Template packs provided as part of the Household Documentation Course are licensed to the client for personal household use only and may not be resold or distributed.

7. Disclaimers

Kinfold's services are provided for general administrative and organisational purposes only. Nothing in any Kinfold session, written deliverable or website content constitutes legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice.

Kinfold makes no representation that household documents sorted or inventoried during a session are complete, legally valid or sufficient for any particular purpose. Any such determination is the responsibility of the client and, where appropriate, a suitably qualified professional.

The website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by Malaysian law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, Kinfold's liability for any claim arising from the use of the website or services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Kinfold is not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses, including loss of data, loss of business or reliance on any information provided during a session for a regulated purpose.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Kinfold harmless from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your misuse of the website or services, breach of these Terms, or provision of inaccurate information.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement before it concludes. Where Kinfold terminates without cause, any undelivered portion of a paid service will be refunded. Where the client terminates, refunds are subject to Clause 5 above.

Kinfold reserves the right to decline or end any engagement where the conduct of the client is abusive, or where it becomes apparent that the engagement requires regulated professional services that Kinfold cannot provide.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Before commencing formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication. Contact us at [email protected] to raise a concern.

12. General provisions

Entire agreement: These Terms and any service-specific scope statement constitute the entire agreement between you and Kinfold for the relevant service.

Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.

Changes: We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or services after the updated date constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to clients with active engagements.
