Faridah Salleh
Petaling Jaya · Sorting Session
We had a box in the store room that nobody had touched in probably eight years. I kept meaning to sort it but there was always something more pressing. The two-hour session with Kinfold got through the whole thing. I was expecting to feel overwhelmed — instead we just worked through it methodically. At the end I had an actual list of what was in there, including three things I hadn't realised were missing. The coordinator was matter-of-fact and didn't rush. I've booked a second session for my mother's papers.

Subang Jaya · Documentation Course
My wife and I both work full time. Our household documents were technically all there but nobody other than me knew where anything was. After the course, both of us can find any document within a minute. The naming convention the coordinator helped us choose is simple enough that even my parents could follow it. I appreciated that they were very clear about what they wouldn't advise on — a couple of questions came up during the sessions that they noted down and suggested we take to a solicitor, which was the right call.

Mont Kiara, KL · Documentation Course
Good, practical course. The session on digital scanning was particularly useful — I hadn't thought about file format longevity before and there were some scans I had done in the past that weren't going to be easily readable in ten years. The coordinator pointed this out and suggested a straightforward fix. The only thing I'd note is that the video sessions require a reasonably stable internet connection, which we didn't always have. Otherwise, very well run.

Damansara · Archive Programme
We chose the archive programme because my parents' documents were genuinely scattered — some in my house, some at my sister's, some in storage, some on an old laptop that nobody had opened in years. Over twelve weeks, Kinfold worked through all of it. The orientation document they produced is something I genuinely didn't know we needed until I read it. My siblings can now find anything without having to ask me, which was the main thing we wanted. The open-questions register flagged three things I've since taken to our family's solicitor.

Bangsar, KL · Sorting Session
I used the video session option from Ipoh. It worked well — the coordinator talked me through the sorting as I held things up to the camera. The written inventory arrived by email the same day. What I found most useful was the gap list: I hadn't realised I was missing a certified copy of my father's death certificate, which I'm going to need at some point. Knowing that now, before I actually need it, is the practical value of the session.

Cheras, KL · Documentation Course
The course was well-paced over five weeks. I'd done some organising before but it was inconsistent — different folders named in different ways depending on when I set them up. The coordinator helped us agree on one naming convention across everything and then applied it consistently. The template pack was useful. My only note is that session two covered quite a lot of ground and felt a little dense — but the workbook captured everything, so I could go back to it.

Engagement Account · Archive Programme
A household managing papers across two generations
Starting position
A family in Petaling Jaya managing the documents of an elderly parent who had moved in with them. Papers were spread across the parent's original home and the current household. Nobody could say with confidence what existed or where the key documents were.
What Kinfold did
Over eleven sessions across twelve weeks, the coordinator inventoried all documents from both locations, separated active records from archive, scanned and indexed a digital set onto the family's NAS, rebuilt a labelled physical set and wrote an orientation document. The open-questions register identified four matters for a solicitor.
Where they ended up
Three adult children can now navigate the household's papers without asking each other. The family's solicitor received the open-questions register and said it was the most organised client brief they had seen on related matters. Two previously missing documents were tracked down during the process.
Duration: 12 weeks. Service: Archive and Handover Programme.
Engagement Account · Documentation Course
A couple preparing for property ownership
Starting position
A couple in Damansara Heights had recently purchased their first property. They knew they would need to manage a new category of documents — title, loan, insurance — alongside their existing personal records, and wanted a system before things accumulated.
What Kinfold did
The documentation course covered their existing records in session one, built a naming system that accommodated the new property category in session two, set up a scanning workflow in session three, and produced an orientation note that included the property section in session four.
Where they ended up
Both partners know the system equally well. The course workbook templates gave them a consistent way to file new documents as they arrive. A question about the title document was noted in the orientation note and referred to their solicitor — Kinfold did not comment on it.
Duration: 5 weeks. Service: Household Documentation Course.
Engagement Account · Sorting Session
A single parent managing paperwork after a family change
Starting position
A parent in Shah Alam managing paperwork for herself and two children following a change in the household. Documents were in a large pile — she knew it needed sorting but hadn't had the energy to start. She wanted a two-hour session to establish a baseline.
What Kinfold did
The coordinator ran the session by video call during a school day. Working through the pile systematically, they sorted the documents into six categories, produced an inventory, and compiled a gap list. The coordinator noted two points to raise with a solicitor and one with an insurance adviser — these went into the gap list, not into the session discussion.
Where they ended up
A clear inventory of all documents held. A folder plan for the physical set. Awareness of specific gaps in the children's education records. The client followed up with a solicitor on the two flagged points and later returned for the documentation course.
Duration: 2 hours. Service: Family Papers Sorting Session. Video call.
